René Westerholt
René is a Juniorprofessor at the Department of Spatial Planning, TU Dortmund University. His research is methodological in nature and concerned with space and place. The take of his work is mostly statistical, but extends beyond that into fundamental conceptual aspects.

Franz-Benjamin Mocnik
Franz-Benjamin is an Assistant Professor at the ITC—Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, University of Twente. Coming from a network science background, he is interested in the fundamental aspects of representing place in formal terms. Franz-Benjamin also conducts research on data quality of user-generated geographical data.
