René Westerholt
René is Professor of Spatial Modelling at TU Dortmund University. His research is methodological in nature and concerned with space and place. The take of his work is mostly statistical, but extends beyond that into fundamental conceptual aspects.

Franz-Benjamin Mocnik
Franz-Benjamin is Professor of Space and Place in the Information Sciences at the University of Salzburg. Coming from a network science background, he is interested in the fundamental aspects of representing place in formal terms. Franz-Benjamin also conducts research on data quality of user-generated geographical data.
